Can state government departments, universities and local bodies buy too?
Yes — GeM is open to central and state departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies, universities, panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies whose organisations are onboarded. Uttar Pradesh entities use GeM extensively; being Lucknow-based, we serve UP buyers with in-person demos and same-city support.
How do payments work on GeM?
Per GeM's standard flow: after delivery, the buyer generates CRAC (Consignee Receipt and Acceptance Certificate), and payment is processed through the integrated payment systems (PFMS for central government) within the timelines prescribed in the GeM GTC — typically counted from CRAC. We track every milestone with you so acceptance and payment never stall on paperwork.
Our requirement is custom — no catalogue item matches. What now?
Use GeM's custom-bid/BoQ route: you publish the requirement with your specifications and sellers bid. We are glad to help before that step — reviewing your draft specification for clarity and vendor-neutrality (a well-written spec attracts better bids for you, whoever wins). For pure works/consulting outside GeM's scope, conventional tender or nomination routes apply.
Do you provide the documents our audit requires?
