Sanchar Suite — the operations suite for local ISPs

Built for FTTH operators, cable broadband LCOs and wireless ISPs that keep colonies, towns and districts online. Subscriber and KYC records in one place, renewals collected on time through UPI and WhatsApp, field teams tracked to the doorstep — with clean integrations into the RADIUS, MikroTik and OLT systems you already run.

The Ground Reality

You keep the town online. Who keeps your business organised?

India has thousands of local ISPs delivering better fibre than national brands — while their own operations run on registers, spreadsheets, one overworked panel and the owner's phone.

The month-start collection crunch

Hundreds of renewals fall due together. Staff spend the first week calling, visiting and reconciling cash — while some subscribers quietly stay online unpaid and others churn to the operator who reminded them first.

A field team you cannot see

Fibre cuts, new installations, router swaps — assigned over phone calls, tracked in memory. Nobody knows which technician is where, which complaint is pending since Tuesday, or how much drop cable actually went into that lane.

Records in five places

CAF forms in a cupboard, expiry dates in the RADIUS panel, payments in a diary, complaints on WhatsApp, franchise accounts in Excel. One licence inspection or one billing dispute means a day of hunting.

Who Sanchar Suite is for: FTTH and fibre broadband operators, local cable operators (LCOs) providing internet, wireless ISPs, hotspot operators, and multi-branch or franchise-based networks — from a few hundred subscribers in one colony to tens of thousands across a district.
Part 1 · Subscribers & Renewals

Every subscriber, every expiry — collected before it lapses

The renewal engine is the heart of the suite: it reminds, collects, confirms and reactivates — automatically, days before the due date.

3 days before expiry

Automatic WhatsApp + SMS reminder with the plan, amount and a UPI payment link. A second nudge on expiry day.

Subscriber pays

UPI link, UPI Autopay mandate, card or cash to a collection agent — every mode lands in the same ledger with an instant receipt to the customer.

Auto-renewed

Payment confirmation extends validity and syncs activation to your RADIUS/router — no midnight disconnections for paid customers, no manual re-enable.

Non-payers handled by policy

Grace period, speed-throttle or suspension — your rules, applied consistently. A churn list shows exactly who lapsed and who to win back.

Subscriber management, complete

  • Subscriber master — name, address with locality/lane, connection type, ONU/router details, static-IP add-ons, connection photos
  • KYC & CAF vault: ID/address proof and signed CAF stored per subscriber with verification status — inspection-ready registers on demand
  • Plan catalogue: speed, FUP/data, validity, price; prorated upgrades and mid-cycle plan changes calculated automatically
  • Billing & GST invoices per renewal; outstanding and advance balances tracked per subscriber
  • Complaints & tickets logged from calls or WhatsApp, linked to the subscriber and routed to the field team
  • Collection agents: receipt app with instant customer SMS/WhatsApp confirmation, day-end cash reconciliation and shortfall report
  • Franchise / LCO / multi-branch: zones, operator logins, franchise wallets and revenue-share statements

From collection crunch to collected-in-advance — the renewal engine works while you sleep.

Part 2 · Field Operations

Your field team, visible to the doorstep

Tickets & assignment

  • Installation, fibre-cut, no-internet and shifting tickets — created from complaints or scheduled work
  • Assigned to technicians by zone and load; the day-route view shows each person their stops in order
  • SLA timers per ticket type — see what has been pending beyond promise, before the customer calls again
  • Escalations ping the owner automatically when a ticket crosses its limit

Geo check-in & proof

  • Technician checks in at the customer location — timestamp and GPS recorded with the ticket
  • Photo proof of completed work: ONU light, cable routing, speed-test screenshot
  • Customer OTP/signature closure so "done" means the customer agrees it is done
  • Duty-hours tracking and attendance from the same app — tracking applies during assigned tickets, stated transparently to staff

Materials & inventory

  • Stock of ONUs, routers, drop cable, connectors — issued to technicians against tickets
  • Issued vs consumed vs returned per job — fibre metres and fittings accounted, shrinkage visible
  • Serial-number tracking for CPE devices from purchase to customer premises
  • Low-stock alerts before installation season runs the store dry
Integrations

Works with the network you already run

Sanchar Suite is the business layer on top of your existing network stack — it orchestrates activation, suspension and plan changes through the systems Indian ISPs actually use.

AAA / RADIUS

FreeRADIUS daloRADIUS

Renewal confirmed → account active; expiry passed → policy applied. Speed-profile changes on plan upgrades sync to your AAA — authentication stays where it is; the business logic moves here.

ISP management platforms popular in India

Jaze ISP Manager 24online Inventum UNIFY

Already running an orchestration/billing panel? Sanchar Suite syncs subscribers and plan states through published APIs and exports — adding the renewal engine, field tracking and franchise accounting these panels stop short of.

Network gear

MikroTik RouterOS API PPPoE / Hotspot OLT: BDCOM · VSOL · Syrotech · Netlink TR-069 ACS (GenieACS)

Enable/disable PPPoE secrets and apply speed queues on MikroTik directly; ONU status visibility through your OLT ecosystem; CPE provisioning via TR-069 where deployed.

Payments & messaging

UPI links & Autopay Payment gateways WhatsApp Business API DLT-compliant SMS

Reminders on WhatsApp and SMS from your registered sender identity; payments reconciled automatically against the subscriber ledger the moment they succeed.

Named products and platforms are trademarks of their respective owners. Integrations are built against published APIs, database views or export formats; no partnership or endorsement is implied. Connector availability for your exact panel, OLT and firmware versions is confirmed in writing during onboarding.

Licence and compliance, stated plainly: Sanchar Suite maintains your subscriber KYC/CAF records, verification status and business registers in inspection-ready form, and helps you keep them complete. Statutory obligations under your ISP licence or UL-VNO authorisation — subscriber verification, session/IP log retention on your AAA and NAS, tariff and QoS reporting — remain the responsibility of the licensee. The software organises the paperwork; the licence stays yours.

FAQ

Sanchar Suite — asked by operators like you

We already run a RADIUS/billing panel. Does this replace it?
No — and that is deliberate. Your AAA keeps authenticating sessions and holding session logs; your panel keeps doing what it does today. Sanchar Suite sits on top as the business layer — renewals, collections, field tickets, franchise accounts — and syncs activation, suspension and speed-profile changes down to your existing stack through its API or database. You add capability without a risky rip-and-replace.
How does the MikroTik integration actually work?
Through the RouterOS API with a restricted-permission user you create: on renewal we enable the PPPoE secret or hotspot user and apply the plan speed profile or queue; on lapse we apply your chosen policy — disable, throttle or redirect to a payment page. Nothing is flashed or reconfigured on the router beyond those user-level operations, and every API action is logged.
Will renewals genuinely improve, or is this just reminders?
The mechanics matter: a reminder 3 days early with a one-tap UPI link gets paid at 10 pm from the sofa — a due-date phone call gets "kal aana". Add UPI Autopay mandates for willing subscribers, automatic receipts that build trust, a consistent grace/suspension policy, and a churn list your team actually works, and collections shift earlier in the month while quiet non-payers stop staying online free. You will see the exact effect in the collection-curve report.
What exactly does field staff tracking record — and is it fair to staff?
It records what protects everyone: geo check-in at the ticket location, time on job, photo proof of completion, materials consumed and customer closure. Tracking is tied to assigned duty tickets — not a spy app on personal time — and staff see their own record, which also becomes their proof of work done. Most technicians like it within a week: disputed "you never came" complaints end immediately.
Our collections are largely cash through agents. How is that handled?
The agent app issues a receipt on the spot with an instant SMS/WhatsApp confirmation to the subscriber — so a pocketed payment surfaces the same day, not at month-end. Day-end reconciliation matches receipts against cash deposited, flags shortfalls by agent, and the subscriber ledger updates the moment the receipt is cut, keeping validity extensions honest.
We have franchises/LCOs under us. Can they work in the same system?
Yes — zones and branch logins keep each franchise seeing only its own subscribers, with its own collection wallet. Revenue-share statements generate automatically per your agreed split, and the parent operator sees the consolidated picture: subscribers, collections, pendency and stock across every zone.
What about DoT/TRAI compliance records?
The suite keeps your subscriber-side records inspection-ready: KYC documents and signed CAFs in a per-subscriber vault with verification status, exportable subscriber registers, and tariff/invoice history. Session and IP logs remain on your AAA/NAS where your licence expects them — we link records rather than duplicate them. Licence obligations stay with the licensee; the suite makes meeting them a filing exercise instead of a scramble.
How do we migrate from Excel and our current panel?
An import template takes subscribers with plan, expiry, balance and locality in one sheet; most panels export exactly that. A typical 1,000-subscriber base is imported and verified in a day, KYC documents are attached progressively as renewals happen, and we assist on the first import — you go live between two billing cycles without a gap.
