Data Recovery

Database and Email Recovery — your business, back at its desk

A company database or mailbox failing feels like the business itself has stopped. It has not. SQL Server, MySQL, Tally and Outlook files are among the most recoverable formats we see — if writes stop now and repairs start from a copy. ₹1,000 evaluation (adjusted against your invoice), fixed quote, approval before any work.

Database and email files being repaired and restored

Breathe first: structured data fails loudly but dies rarely.

A database that will not mount, a Tally company that will not open, an inbox showing errors — these look catastrophic because the whole business leans on them. Yet under the hood they are highly structured files with headers, logs and internal redundancy, which is precisely what makes skilled repair possible. Most corruption touches a few pages of a file, not the whole ledger; most "lost" mailboxes are intact files with a damaged index. So pause, note the exact error message, stop anything that writes to the file — and trust that a calm, methodical path almost always leads back to your data. You have options; you simply should not exercise them in a panic. We are one phone call away; the phone consultation is free, and the ₹1,000 bench evaluation adjusts fully into your recovery invoice.

What We Handle

The failures that stop Indian offices

SQL Server (MDF/LDF)

Database marked SUSPECT or RECOVERY_PENDING, torn pages after power loss, CHECKDB errors, accidentally detached or deleted databases, backups that will not restore. Page-level repair and log-based reconstruction on a copy — never on your only original.

MySQL / MariaDB (InnoDB)

Crashed instances that loop on recovery, corrupt ibdata/ibd files, dropped tables and databases, hosting-panel accidents. We extract records directly from InnoDB pages when the engine itself refuses to start.

Tally (very common for SMEs)

Company data showing 'Exiting Tally' or manager.900 errors, corrupted data folders after power cuts or antivirus quarantines, missing companies after copy-paste moves. Vouchers and masters are usually reconstructible — bring the whole data folder, untouched.

Outlook PST / OST

Oversized or corrupt PST files that will not open, OST files orphaned after a server or account change, mails deleted from folders, archives lost in migrations. Mailboxes are re-built into clean PSTs with folder structure intact.

Our Process

Copy first, repair second, verify always

Freeze writes

Stop the application/service so nothing else touches the damaged files.

Evaluation (₹1,000)

We inspect a copy of the raw files and tell you what is intact, what is hurt, and the fixed price.

Clone the files

All repair work happens on sector-level copies — your originals stay sealed as the fallback.

Repair & extract

Page-level fixes, log replay, record carving — whichever path preserves the most data.

Verify with you

You check row counts, ledgers or mail folders against expectations before we hand over.

Honest chances of recovery, by scenario

Indicative ranges — every case is confirmed individually at the ₹1,000 evaluation, which adjusts fully against your recovery invoice.

Do this

  • Stop the service/application (SQL instance, Tally, Outlook) so the damaged file stops changing.
  • Copy the raw files immediately — MDF+LDF together, the whole Tally data folder, the entire PST — to another drive before anything else.
  • Note the exact error text and what happened just before (power cut, update, disk full, antivirus action).
  • Locate your last good backup — even an old one helps us cross-verify recovered records.
  • Call us with the file sizes handy: +91 63909 99366.

Please don't

  • Don't run repair commands on the original — REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS and 'rewrite' utilities can permanently discard rows; run them only on copies, deliberately.
  • Don't restart the server repeatedly hoping recovery completes — failed replays can compound damage.
  • Don't let ScanPST loose on your only copy of a mailbox; it fixes small faults but amputates big ones.
  • Don't reinstall the application — the problem is in the data files, and installers sometimes touch them.
  • Don't keep working in a half-opened company/database — new writes overwrite recoverable history.
Never Again

Databases forgive hardware; they never forgive missing backups

Every case above becomes a non-event with one discipline: automated, verified, off-machine backups. Our Cloud Storage plans give Tally folders, SQL dumps and PST archives a nightly off-site home for a few hundred rupees a month — and our team can script the whole routine for you in an afternoon.

  • Schedule native backups (SQL full+log, mysqldump, Tally backup) — then copy them off the same machine
  • Run integrity checks on schedule: DBCC CHECKDB weekly, test-restores quarterly
  • Keep PSTs under control — archive yearly, avoid 20 GB single files on old laptops
  • Put a UPS under every machine that hosts books of account — power cuts author most Tally corruption
  • Track disk health (SMART) and free space; full disks corrupt logs silently
Healthy database dashboards after recovery

The goal: recovery once, prevention forever.

FAQ

Database & email recovery — asked and answered

My SQL database shows SUSPECT. Is the data gone?
Usually not. SUSPECT means SQL Server could not complete crash recovery — often one damaged log or a handful of torn pages. With the MDF and LDF preserved, page-level repair or log reconstruction recovers most databases substantially. What hurts recovery is forcing emergency-mode repairs on the original before a copy exists.
Tally shows 'Internal Error. Contact Tally Solutions.' Can vouchers be saved?
In most corruption cases, yes — masters and vouchers live in structured files inside the company folder, and typically only recent writes are damaged. Copy the entire data folder now (all files, not just one), avoid rewriting inside a damaged company repeatedly, and have it evaluated. Recovery commonly returns the books to the last consistent day.
Outlook says my PST is corrupt and ScanPST failed. Now what?
ScanPST truncates what it cannot parse, which is why it should only ever run on a copy. Specialist reconstruction reads the PST's internal tree directly and rebuilds folders, mails and attachments into a fresh file — including from oversized files ScanPST refuses. If your original was preserved, chances are strong.
I dropped a table (or deleted a database) by mistake. Recoverable?
Often, if action stops immediately. Dropped objects can be rebuilt from transaction logs or carved from the file's unallocated pages while nothing overwrites them. On a busy server, every subsequent write shrinks the window — freeze activity on that volume and take a copy before anything else.
Can you recover a database from a drive that itself failed?
Yes — that is a two-stage case: first the drive is handled under our hard drive recovery process to image the media, then database repair runs on the image. Combined success tracks the drive stage; the database layer is usually the easier half.
Is our financial data confidential during recovery?
Completely. Work happens on isolated, non-networked systems; only named engineers touch your files; we sign NDAs on request; and recovered data plus working copies are securely wiped after handover per our Privacy Policy. For books of account we can also work on-site at your office where policy requires it.
How long does a typical case take?
Simple index/page repairs often complete in 1–2 working days; heavier reconstruction (large MDFs, multi-company Tally folders, 20 GB PSTs) runs 3–7 days. Business-down emergencies can be taken up on priority — say so when you call and we plan around your close-of-books or payroll dates.
